Une nouvelle version du mod de MIB88 vient de sortir au programme :


MIB megamod 2.1

MIB88 has updated his megamod again, to include (from version 2.0):

-Addition of the Modoc Revisited mod
-Addition of the Vault 14 mod
-Addition of the Letter from the Past mod
-Expanded the size of the worldmap
-Numerous fixes with EPA scripts, dialogs and maps
-Several random crashes associated with previous releases corrected
-Fixed problems with Kaga
-Fixed problems with Lenny, Klint, and the new Skynet
-Some locations that were easily accessed now
-Freelance slavery. Male and female slaves can sometimes be taken of some of the critters in the wasteland
-the latest fixes by killap (11-27 release) have been added with the exception of the reactions of those in Arroyo
-miscellaneous weapon fixes
-Added a number of new load screens from various mods and Fallout 1
-many small bug fixes


Une petite explication pour l'installation...

Here is the latest edition to my Megamod project, currently at version
2.1. Below you will find a list of changes since the last release.

First, though, installation. You need to have the Megamod version 2.0
installed first. Then copy the files included here into their respective
folders. All of the folders in the update, with the exception of the
readme files folder, need to be copied into your main Fallout Data folder.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Install version of Fallout 2 that takes up the largest amount of space
(Humongous).
2. Make sure you do not have a patch000.dat file in your main Fallout 2
directory. Either delete or rename it.
3. Make sure the entire proto folder is set to read-only
4. Make sure the individual items and critters inside the proto folder
are set to read-only
5. Install the game and mod to a new location. Do not use the location
you usually use. Pick a new folder entirely or, better yet, a different
partition of your hard drive.
6. If you are going to uninstall a Fallout 2 game, you should also
restart your computer after doing so, before reinstalling the game again
and adding the Megamod.
7. If you have installed the game many times on your computer and removed
them, it might be a good idea to also run a registry cleaner.

If you see something like a map that doesn't load up, i.e. a black screen
in the Temple of Trials and just a bunch of 'ghosts' where the character
and red hex move, I don't want to hear about it. It is not working.
Uninstall that game, delete everything, and start over, following the
tips above. If it still doesn't work, well then, I guess the Fates
have decided that you just weren't meant to play this mod.

Also, delete the following files from your Fallout 2 directory:
data\proto\critters\00000062.pro
data\proto\critters\00000382.pro

These files were included by mistake. They will not crash your game, but
they may prevent a couple of NPCs from leveling/acting properly.

In an effort to simplify things somewhat, the Megamod project has been
renamed. This version, Megamod 2.0, is the latest installment. It
contains the original Megamod, updates 1-6, and a few new things as
well.

In addition to all of the older stuff that is included from all previous
versions, some of the new additions and fixes include

-The addition of the Primitive Tribe by Chris Parks
-EPA changes and fixes
-EPA quests should now be displayed correctly.
-The car will now appear at the EPA
-Deathclaws on the inside will now attack
-New pictures of some items
-The EPA is not immediately on the worldmap. You have to learn its
location from...somebody. (This is not a new character. You'll just
have to talk with some smart people in the Wasteland to discover
which one knows about it.)
-Friendly Klint by Dodgerovitch should now work as originally intended
in this mod since I have now included all of the proper files. You can
trade with him even when he is wearing armor, his HPs actually increase,
and he has different skills depending on the armor worn. Note: he will
not join you at the Temple entrance as its author originally wrote. This
version of Friendly Klint will not join you permanently until you return
to the village. There is one situation where he might join you at the
Temple, though...
-Having sex with Miria or Davin should no longer lead to the game fading
out and not returning
-The Shaman in the random encounter no longer appears as a
ghost/hologram.
-Rebecca in the Den correctly acknowledges that you found her book
-Error message in Lou's dialog has been corrected
-The Temple of Trials 'scandal' is accessible once again
-A potentially different Skynet...find out for yourself. You can't trade
with him (yet), but you might find that to be an acceptable sacrifice.
-The addition of the Wasteland Taxi, created by Lich
-Modified Worldmap encounters. This is a work in progress, but so far
the giant cockroaches and the gila lizard from the Fallout 2 XP mod
random encounters have have been included.
-Some changes to a few weapons that were changed by Mikael Grizzly work
to make them more in keeping with Fallout canon
-Additional encounter created by Chris Parks. Not going to go into
specifics. But, I will tell you this: If you accidentally ever hack into
someone's computer network, you better not say or do anything to piss
them off...
-The Error message in the Pipboy when first starting the game should no
longer be there.
-NPC hit points properly displayed (if you correctly follow the
directions when installing this)

Ce mod est actuellement en Anglais, pour pouvoir y jouer correctement vous devez modifier votre fichier de configuration de Fallout 2

Dans le fichier fallout.cfg mettez :

language=english à la place de language=french

Je up pour poser une pitite question.J'ai choppé la dernière version du Megamod il y a trois, jours, enfin une vrai joie de recommencer Fallout 2 ! En plus en V.O le jeu est grave mieux, même si les voix sont en français...Donc voilà, j'avais remarqué qu'il y avait pleins de nouvelles améliorations d'armes, mais j'y avais pas trop fait attention. Et tout à l'heure, je clique longtemps sur mon perso et fait "observer". Quel étonnement que de voir s'ouvrir une nouvelle fenêtre, nommée "Mr Fixit" ! Avec une fenêtre "Choose Item" en haut à droite, et une "[No Item]" et "Quit" en bas à droite. Et je vois pas du tout comment cela fonctionne. D'autant plus que j'ai pas mal de pièces détachées, d'armes sur moi. D'abord, qu'est-ce que ceci ? Et aussi, je suppose qu'il faut un certain nombre de points en Réparation pour pouvoir l'utiliser, mais combien (je suis actuellement à un petit 34%) ?Edit : De plus, je n'arrive pas à ouvrir les cages des esclaves à la RNC, pourtant j'ai 130% en Sciences. Bug ?
