All Maps on the Core are subject to being captured by all the factions in the game. In order to start a capture, your faction needs at least 2 times more people then there are flags on the map. This means that zones like the faction gates, or Hospital in the center of the core, needs at least 8 people of a faction to start zone-control on the map. In order to start a zone, you need at least 1 adjacent Zone to it, and the Zone has to be "Active" in order to do so. If you have no zones at all, you can capture your Faction-Gate, and start expanding from there. Starting a capture is as easy as clicking on any on the flags on the zone. Once started, there will be a 5 minute warm-up time that needs to run down, until the actual Capturing starts. This gives enemies the opportunity to react and gather themselves up. Once the Zone Control starts, all flags inside will belong to the faction that currently hold the zone. If the zone is green (No faction has the zone), it will result in all flags being neutral as well. (White). In order to start getting points, you have to capture said flags by having at least 2 faction-members standing near it, until it turns to the color of your faction. You will get 1 point per second for each flag captured. As most zones have more then 1 flag, in most cases you can't camp a specific location on the location as you risk losing all the other flags. At the end of the 15 minute capture timer, each Faction gets points to the current cycle, depending on how much points they managed to get during that time-frame. The calculation is a bit difficult on how much points you get exactly, but this is the formula: Domination points pool is calculated as maximum of 2 values: - number of players in second largest team; - half of number of players in largest team. Examples are: 20 vs 0 - 100 points, 20 vs 5 - 100 points; 20 vs 10 - 100 points; 20 vs 15 - 150 points; 20 vs 20 - 200 points, 20 vs 30 - 200 points. This means, that if the Domination pool is 100 because there were 2 teams of 20 and 10 each, and both teams managed to get half of the score during that Zone Control, both teams get 50 Score in the current Cycle. There are 4 Cycles each day, (so 4 times where the Zone can be captured for the duration of 1 hour), and whoever has more points at the end of the cycle, will get the zone. (Unless in some rare cases they don't have their own zones surrounding said zone anymore, which will then turn the zone Neutral). If the Zone belongs to someone, they get additional points in order to help them defend the zone. They get 2 types of additional Cycle Score. The first type is very easy to calculate. Basically. They will get half the points from how much they gained yesterday. Immediately. For free. This will ONLY be shown in the Summary, and is not given to a specific cycle. The second type is a bit harder to calculate. Basically. Each time a Cycle is not contested by the enemy, the defender will get their points from the same Cycle of the previous day. (If they have had any points there).
